Ingredients 175ml/6 fl.oz/2/3 cup double (heavy) cream
75 ml/2 1/2 fl.oz/1/2 cup golden syrup
25 g/1 oz/ 1/4 cup malted power / I replaced with vanilla power
100g/ 3 1/2 oz/ 2/3 cup dark chocolate
75 g/2 1/2 oz/ 1/2 cup milk chocolate chopped
2 tbsp butter, diced
Freshly baked waffles icing (confectioner’s) sugar, for dusting and malted chocolate sauce.
1.Put the cream, golden syrup, malted power or vanilla powder and the dark chocolate in a saucepan.
2.Stir over a low heat until the chocolate melts, then heat without stirring until it starts to bubble.
3.Take the pan off the heat and stir in the chopped milk chocolate and butter.Leave to cool for 10 minutes.
4.Stack freshly baked waffles onto warm plates and drizzle with the sauce. Sprinkle with icing sugar.
